Is it possible to be Too Grateful?

Once again, the pictures come first since I can't seem to cut and paste :)

Makani playing with her Easter presents in her diaper (she soiled her pajamas)!

Makani received some bubbles, hair clips, new shoes (jellies), and alphabet magnets in her basket. Christopher and I were given the DI special "Jots and Tittles" (a Mormon Trivia game) and jelly beans!

Sledding in April

Jonathan, Celeste, Grace, and Elena after a "deathly descent".

True Blue Cougar!

What a handsome graduate!

Gotta love the "Y" in the background

I can't tell you how overwhelmed we feel with blessings lately. When the Lord promises blessings, he goes above and beyond your greatest aspirations. Luckily, many details are written in my personal journal, but I will give you all a brief recap of what is happening here. This post really won't do justice to the intricate details of miracles in our family recently.

1.We got our official "You're hired phone call"

Christopher and I received the phone call on April 14 that he is going to be officially hired as a CES employee and he doesn't have to wait until June to receive details. He will proceed as an April hiree. We will receive our assignment and sign paperwork sometime before May 18. We will both attend New Employee Orientation in SLC on May 18. There are so many miracles packaged within this experience, I can't even begin to tell you. . .

2. Christopher Walked in Graduation on April 22!

Not only did he walk, but Daniel and Marie got to walk with him! It was an amazing and emotional experience to see the three of them walk together. I promised Christopher I wouldn't list some of his achievements (except for one. . .he found out yesterday he got straight A's this semester!!!). However, graduation day was a commemoration of more than just a Bachelor's Degree. His accomplishments go far beyond graduating. . .he is the most AMAZING husband I could ever dream of. I am so proud of him and his faithfulness in the gospel.

3. Spending Time with the Pittmans

We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED spending time with family, especially our excursions with Jonathan, Celeste, Elena, and Grace! From hanging out and eating Papusas to sledding and playing music, we had a blast and were sad to see them leave!

4. Easter and the end of an era

We had a beautiful Easter service at church on Sunday, but were sad to say goodbye to so many beloved friends. Ever since we got married we have loved our ward family. Many of the families that have been in our ward for the past 2.5 years finally said goodbye as they move on to "greener pastures". We love them all and wish them the best!

5. Daniel and Marie were married on April 25, 2011

We are so excited to welcome Daniel Hansen to our family! It was a crazy day, but a beautiful wedding. Despite the normal and not-so-normal complications, everyone rolled with the punches and the wedding turned out AMAZING!

My only sadness was on behalf of Makani. She was super fussy and wouldn't stop crying, so I had to leave at the beginning of the ceremony (Christopher filled me in later). After taking her out, I realized her bottom gums were sore and almost bloody. . .she was teething her k9 teeth. I gave her some medicine and she seemed better. I felt like an awful Mom for not realizing sooner her ailments were real, not just tantrums. To make me feel more guilty, she woke up the night all of our company left with a terrible barking cough. I took her to the doctor the next day to find out she had croupe! Poor girl was so sick. . .Maybe, this is a lesson for all of us, even in marriage. . .give each other the benefit of the doubt and don't assume the other person is just "throwing tantrums", even if they are :) In the words of Elder Marvin J. Ashton, "Charity is expecting the best of each other". Let us all have charity in our marriages and families!

So many more things to tell you, but alas, I will quit with this one!

So happy, thrilled, proud, ecstatic for y'all!!!!! I can't wait to hear about all the adventures you have in the coming weeks/months/years. And we miss you, too!

As a random side note, I don't often get to see pictures of Jonathan, the girls AND me all together since one of us is normally the photographer. Thanks for snapping that one of us all together laughing. What a fun day :)

Thanks for sharing all the pictures. And with Makani's teeth, we have all done the, "oh you don't have an earache you are just trying to get out of church," until I saw the dried blood in his ear. Yeah, it is a learning experience. Thanks again for all the pictures!!

Ditto what Cathy said, and we were there Maleah and you handled it all with patience and love. Thank you for letting us know about the straight "A"'s! Congratulations to all of you on that one.
