It's A . . .

BOY!!!! We just wanted to let you all know that we had our ultrasound this week and found out we are having a baby boy! I am soooo excited! To be honest, we weren't going to find out the gender because I loved waiting with Makani, but with some extenuating circumstances, I decided it was better in this situation to be prepared.

After we left the doctor's office, I was so excited and told Christopher that the only way the day could be any more perfect was if we got an internship offer. Well, guess what? It was a PERFECT day!

To make a very long story as short as possible, Christopher is walking in April, but can't officially graduate without an internship. No diploma means no CES job. So, we've been fasting and praying to find something, particularly something local that would finish by the end of spring term (mid June). Everything seemed like a dead end, but we just kept looking and setting up interviews knowing something would turn up. On Sunday we fasted for an internship and on Monday Christopher had an interview at the Utah Department of Health (literally a 15 minute walk from our house). They told him they needed an intern from May to August, but after interviewing him, they offered him an April to June (30-40 hour/wk) internship! Not only will we stay local, meet our time deadlines, but he will also love his projects (a lot involve working with youth on tobacco prevention, car & bike safety, etc.). It truly was a "red letter day" (and to think, Shakespeare said, "Beware the Ides of March". . . not for us!).

Thank you for all of your prayers! Things are truly falling into place. We know God is in the details!

Congrats! So excited for your family. Chris could be running into my Mom a good bit with his internship, as that is where she works part-time.
